India Missions

The MET supports a vibrant indigenous ministry in India that reaches across the country, with teams that go door to door handing out Bibles and witnessing to individual families. While it is not possible or practical for an American to join these teams, it is possible to participate in other activities, such as the rural village feeding and daily VBS programs for children, the weekly prayer and fasting event, the annual Christmas distribution of food and blankets and saris, or a pastor's conference. It's one thing to know that we are all one body, but the world suddenly becomes much smaller when you have gone and made friends and participated with them in Christ's love and His work. It gives you a different perspective on everything.

"Typically, I teach on biblical counseling for women, with a focus on marriage because the destruction of marriage is a foundational cause of so many problems. However, given the nature of the situations in which God puts me, I often find myself teaching instead on forgiveness and reconciliation. Again, I am dumbfounded that simply by being obedient to go, God equips me even when I don’t feel particularly equipped."
